Sorted Image Viewer

Support & frequently asked questions

How do reading modes work?

Standard: swipe left for next. Manga: swipe right for next. Vertical: swipe up for next, down for previous, one image at a time. The mode is saved without reversing the sort order or current selection. Zoomed images follow your finger; reaching an edge alone does not turn a page.

Which formats can I view?

JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, HEIC, and AVIF depend on the device codec and file encoding. Animated and multi-frame files show only the first frame. Try a synthetic JPEG or PNG to distinguish a codec problem from a permission problem.

How does sorting work?

Choose natural filename, modified date, captured date, or size, then ascending or descending order. The current image stays selected when you change sorting. Capture dates require file metadata; absent or inconsistent metadata may change ordering. Natural order treats numeric filename parts as numbers.

Why can’t I see a subfolder or all my photos?

Android uses a shared-storage permission and an in-app folder browser; iOS grants access to folders chosen through Files. The viewer displays direct-child images only, without recursive browsing. Protected system locations and other apps' private data remain restricted.

Why did resume stop working?

Moving or deleting files, revoking access, reinstalling, or a provider changing its references can break saved state. Pick the folder again and select an available image. Restoration requires a valid OS grant. There is no account or cloud restoration service.

Why does Open from another app show one image?

The sending app may grant only one file, not its parent or neighbors. On Android, grant storage access and use the in-app folder browser; on iOS, select the folder through Files. An OS file provider may make its own network requests or downloads. That is separate from the viewer’s local image handling and is not app cloud sync.

Does this release show ads?

Version 1.0.0 (4) has ads disabled. It does not request or display ads while reading, opening folders, or leaving the viewer. A future ad-enabled build needs updated privacy disclosures and release review.

How do I manage file access and local state?

Android all-files access is broader than image-only permission, although the viewer only reads images and never edits or deletes originals. Revoke it in system settings if needed. iOS uses scoped Files access. Clearing app storage can remove saved reading state without deleting originals. See the privacy policy for provider and support-mail handling.

Does it edit, unpack comics, or synchronize?

No editing, ZIP/CBZ archives, recursive browsing, or cloud sync is included. The viewer does not upload images or require an account.

How do I report a problem?

Use the support template below. Do not send your photos, full paths, private filenames, or exported folders. If a sample is necessary, create a synthetic image without personal metadata.
